Terms of use

The terms for using Chittu and this website.

Effective 8 October 2026 · Last updated 8 October 2026

Agreement

By installing Chittu for Mac, Chittu for Windows or the Chittu extension for Chrome and Microsoft Edge, or by using chittu.happycoders.in, you agree to these terms. Chittu is made by Happycoders Private Limited (“HappyCoders”, “we”). Where you got Chittu from a store (the Mac App Store, Softonic, the Chrome Web Store or Microsoft Edge Add-ons), that store’s terms also apply.

Licence

Chittu is free. We give you a personal, worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use it, for personal or commercial work, on as many devices as you like. You may not sell Chittu, remove its notices, or present it as your own.

Acceptable use

Use Chittu only on images you have the right to use. The extension can read the images on any web page you open and, if you ask, on a whole site; before a whole-site scan it asks you to confirm that you have the right to download that site’s images. You are responsible for respecting copyright, a site’s terms and any law that applies to you.

Your images and the results

Your images stay yours. Chittu processes them on your device; we never receive them. Chittu writes results to a new folder and does not change your originals unless you choose “Replace originals” and confirm. Keep backups of anything you cannot replace.

Intellectual property

Chittu, its name, logo and design belong to HappyCoders. The image codecs it includes are open-source software under their own licences, which ship with the app and the extension.

No warranty

Chittu is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We work to keep it correct, but we do not promise that it is free of errors or suitable for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, HappyCoders is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for loss of data, arising from your use of Chittu. Chittu is free, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for it.

Changes and termination

We may update Chittu and these terms; the date at the top of this page will change when we do. You can stop using Chittu at any time by uninstalling it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the courts of Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu.
